Why 'Blond Enlightenment'?

I'd love it to read that I'm giddy and grateful about YOU being here NOW.

Blond Enlightenment is a phase that was concocted to characterize me by a group of real deal enlightened folk.

Being seen as someone who easily eludes compassion, curiousness, and clarity isn’t something that I take lightly! I keep on stepping up to own it every-damn-day.

I don’t say ‘real deal enlightened folk’ casually! I wish I were one of them.

I’ve been blessed with an amazing array of profoundly supportive and intensely passionate spiritual teachers for nearly twenty-years. From when I first enrolled in massage school (1999), I haven’t gone without wholistic mentorship. I’m more inspired than ever, with the guidance and material I’m working with now!

Still, I’m only at the tip of ice burg when it comes to fulfilling my spiritual calling for personal fulfillment, professional service, and in stewardship to the land. It’s not easy to acknowledge the gap between where I’m at and where I wanna be on this infinite path. Pretending, however, is in my past with a slue of other naughty habits.

Am I, however, honored to be a facilitating witness to awe-inspiring healing and awakening transformations? HELL to the YES! And do the spiritual practices that feed my heart and soul seem wacky to the masses? YAAAS! That’s the gap I bridge. By bringing you the spiritual tools and experiences that make sense to you, in your life, I help you to access morsels of everyday enlightenment so that you’re empowered to continue striving too.

I put my skills and knowledge to good use by hosting community rituals and  working one-to-one with women who need help putting themselves FIRST! These women turn to self-loving care because they show symptoms of conflicted and disconnected. They feel stuck, tired, anxious, depressed, in pain or disease. In our culture now, spiritual health isn’t a top priority when people are dealing with serious shit. Yet, it’s typically not the separate influence people initially understand it to be.

The first stop on the train to spiritual growth is personal healing. We start there and move our way up the chakra system. This works because deep-dark emotional release, trauma work is my jam! With release there is space and we want it filled with vital perceptions, practices, and principles. Then kundalini, awakening energy is supported in advancing upward–to LIGHT UP each cell (enlightenment). Even though we toss the slogan ‘mind, body and spirit’ around, what truly happens when working within this trifecta is nothing short of MAGIC!

I sit down in spiritual practice: communion and meditation everyday. I’ve used tarot and astrology to work with intent and offer girl-friendly advice since I was in high school.  My mom was in her new age phase when I was a teen, and I what I learned within the shamanic circles she’d host struck a chord. Still, we love to read cards for each other!

As a certified and licensed Holistic Health Practitioner I opened the doors to my beachside private practice in 2002. I specialized in the Asian Healing Arts and continue to integrate Thai Massage, Shiatsu, Tui-Na and Reiki into my sessions. In 2004 I met my San Diego tribe and spent four committed years to becoming an Initiated Temple and Tantric Priestess.

We used somatic, shamanic, and tantric practices to clear our past traumas and wake up our kundalini energies. It’s no surprise that I bonded with my husband during this potent period of vulnerable growing toward enlightenment. I also recommitted to my interest in CranioSacral Therapy and became a certified Biodynamic Cranial Touch Practitioner. During this two-year-long internship I rewired my nervous system and increased my intuition, alongside the enlightened folk who coined me Blond Enlightenment.

Then came marriage, babies, and a move to Grand Junction. HA, as if it were so simple! Colorado is home. I’m Aspen born and bred and also a graduate of the University of Colorado, where I got my BA in Sociology and Women’s Studies.

I know dark times. I’ll mention that while I was in massage school, I broke my neck and foot. Back then I embodied the wounded healer archetype. For me, breaking my neck represented a severing of the judgment-based bond between my head and heart (the neck as the bridge). And the ground that I walked on (foot) needed to be reestablished with a different set of values–honoring myself as a sensitive empath.

Almost a decade later another accident served as another initiation. In the end, it led me to choosing to home birth my babies, practice attachment parenting, and go on sabbatical from healing work for five WHOLE years!  In 2016 I came back into private practice in a way that equally utilizes my skills in subtle touch, compassionate enquiry, intuitive channeling, and body wisdom.

Yoga has been a mainstay since I found myself upside down in a headstand my freshman year of college. In 2017 I became a certified Yoga Instructor, with intent to integrate movement into private sessions and women’s circles. Join us for Sacred New Moon Yoga!

Calling myself an Awesome Mom, a Juicy Woman, and a Thriving Entrepreneur is a gutsy move that relies on an always evolving series of definitions. Staying conscious through my parenting, relationship and business trials, intimately mentoring mommas alongside, and working closely with beloved spiritual teachers has been my way. I’m currently committed to a two-year-long Spiritual Worker program led by Mary Shutan, who I’m in total regard and gratitude.

I’d love to support you in discovering and cherishing your path of every-damn-day striving for enlightenment too–because it’s worth it-as are you! Thank you so much for learning a bit about me and I hope you’ll reach out to find if we’re a fit!

Love,

So much enough about me. Your turn! Spill it out here and I'll intuit if I can help.
